Kane is back (sort of)! Dark Horse Comics published an anthology of short crime stories in October 2009, and one of them is a 10 page vignette starring Kane, Felix, Oscar Darke and others. It shows that the force is still corrupt, Darke is still powerful and Kane still has the coolest lines. And it shows that Paul is still at the top of his game doing this. Kane is missed soooooo much!
Burglar Bill, Paul Grist's first crime drama comic serial in six parts, seems to be cursed. Following a first issue from UK indy publisher Trident in 1990, no issue from Kevin Eastman's Tundra in 1992 and the first three issues from Paul's own Dancing Elephant Press in 2003, Image restarted the series again in November 2004. After four issues (through October 2005) it went on hiatus again.
The final parts of the story had started to appear as a backup feature in Jack Staff beginning with issue 14. Through issues 15, 17 and 18 appeared what was supposed to be the fifth issue of the series, before it went on hiatus again. Details here.
Message board. There is an online discussion board for Jack Staff at Image Comics, visited regularly by Paul himself.
